Rachel E. S. Loesche is a former foster kid, now pro-democracy public interest technologist. Her background is in research psychology, philosophy, computational neuroscience, and legal editing. Throughout her career, she has remained an active labor organizer and collaborator with the free open source software (FOSS) community. 

To find and use alternatives to "AI" is one of her special interests. Rachel is a right-to-repair enthusiast and maker who takes a firm stance against predatory tech in part to demonstrate that there is an alternative. Her volunteer work includes helping folks replace and acquire the option to leave Big Tech at their own pace for their own purposes.
